In general, scratch a supposedly successful right winger, especially one under 50, and what you're going to find is a brat who's totally unemployable and launders Daddy's money through a "business" that will not survive if cut off from the teat.
There's a reason all these guys, if you go back far enough, are failed screenwriters or failed movie producers or failed actors. They're arrogant untalented shitheads who are a nightmare to work with. It's not their politics. There are loads of Republicans in Hollywood who have entire careers.
One point that I don't think most people have internalized is that the entire right wing media sphere is basically a giant sugar baby operation for the failkids of various right wingers and their donors, and once that money runs out, they're just going to vanish into the ocean.
