Publication day is here! Wendy Waring’s THE HUNGER OF THOSE WHO BUILT IT is now available everywhere books are sold. Good Reading calls it “seductively spellbinding” and declares, “Debuts aren’t supposed to be this good.” We couldn’t agree more.

Beside the orange, teal and purple cover of Wendy Waring’s The Hunger of Those Who Built It is a review quote: “Waring has the unique ability to imagine a world so precisely, so believably, that it would be a surprise if it didn’t materialise. Waring’s seductively spellbinding writing comes from the blending of intellect, imagination and formidable talent. This is the work of a seasoned writer… Debuts aren’t supposed to be this good.” — Good Reading magazine. Below are the Stelliform Press logo and the words “Now available everywhere books are sold.”

The title is the warning. This Strange Horizons review places Wendy Waring’s novel squarely in our moment of wealth inequality -- when we must decide who our society serves, what we owe one another, and what kind of future we will build. Check out the full review here: strangehorizons.com/...

Purple promotional graphic featuring the Strange Horizons logo, the cover of Wendy Waring’s The Hunger of Those Who Built It, and the Stelliform Press logo. Text reads: “Like all the best dystopian novels, The Hunger of Those Who Built It forces readers to confront the current drift of history into disaster. Nothing about this novel is far-fetched, the science already exists, and the will to exploit our world for personal advantage is already in power. The Hunger of Those Who Built It reminds me that I know the daughter of a multi-millionaire who is building a private, secure paradise with other trust-fund babies on an island off Central America. You’ve heard such stories, too. Whatever they claim about fairness and democracy, there is a tiny element of humanity with an extraordinary sense of entitlement, and those people don’t care who gets hurt in pursuit of their comfort.” - Jan Priddy for Strange Horizons. Available everywhere books are sold.

THE BIG INDIE WEEKEND IS BACK! Not seen our epic line up yet? 25th to 27th September, 3 days of awesome indie authors and creators. Online panels, live streams, an RPG, writing sprint, giveaways and an exciting event announcement...SEE YOU THERE!

For those of us regretfully missing WorldCon, today E.G. Condé read from his forthcoming novella, CACIQUES, and revealed the new cover. We're thrilled to work with artist Paulina Niño again to create another stunning cover for this follow-up to the award-winning SORDIDEZ.

Cover reveal graphic on a textured teal background. Large text announces “Cover Reveal” and “A new novella in the world of Sordidez.” The cover of E. G. Condé’s Caciques shows a reclining figure beneath a glowing golden orb containing a Taíno-inspired symbol, rendered in rich red, orange, and black. The Sordidez cover, featuring a woman’s portrait among dark foliage, appears behind it. Text reads “Coming in 2027 from Stelliform Press.” Cover art for both Caciques and Sordidez is by Paulina Niño.
