Bobby Kogan@bbkogan.bsky.social · 3w agoAfter multiple murders by ICE/CBP, Ds refused to provide additional $$ for them w/out reforms & oversight. Rs were opposed to reform and unilaterally provided more $$ through reconciliation. Now ICE has enough to run at 4x capacity through 2029 — w/ LESS oversight than before. This is the result.

He had mixed feelings about letting Mitchell Robinson go, but understood the desire to stay under the Second Apron. His last words to me were, "Knicks in Five, my man."

One thing I love about this is Mamdani's use of the 1st person plural in talking about the Revolution: "we were outgunned, outmanned," "our fledging attempt at democracy was on the precipice of collapse" I imagine this will drive the "heritage American" crowd crazy - and that's just fine by me.
