Can reporters stop using the word deal? It’s an agreement, a settlement, a treaty, an understanding, an MOU etc. Using the word deal is accepting his simple-minded TV game-show framing and contributes to the bogus drama he is trying to create.
Remember, back in December this same SCOTUS said it was too late to change Texas' maps (that had just been changed in August) after they were deemed (by a Trump-appointed judge) to be unconstitutional. So Dec. was too late, but May (after ballots have been sent) is fine? WTF?

This was done over a strong dissent from Jackson — prompting Alito (w Thomas & Gorsuch) to author an opinion concurring with the grant.
