DIY web archiving is way more doable than you think. Trust me, we taught elementary schoolers and retirees as part of SUCHO. Then we made a zine about it! Making time for web archiving things that matter should be like shoreline litter pickup or community garden weeding events.

The Internet Archive is important and useful. But people telling themselves comforting lies is part of how we got in this mess. No matter how beautiful the bandage, it’s never the proper response when a patient is bleeding out. The history of your lifetime is the patient. There are ways to help.

Heart broken for many reasons. But there REALLY REALLY should be archaeologist on site of the destruction when digging and potentially destroying valuable historical artifacts (I know they don’t care, clearly) but further future harm above & beyond harm above ground. More broken laws forthcoming. 😞
