In December 2015, before Trump won the presidency and chose Michael Flynn as his national security adviser, Flynn took a $45,000 fee for giving a speech in Moscow at an event for RT, a state-controlled Russian “news” outlet. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin sat beside him at the banquet. 2/4🧵

Russians paid Mike Flynn $45k for RT speech, documents show

The former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency earned more than $50,00 from giving speeches RT and two other Russian companies.

🧵🧵🧵 A scandal that hardly anyone knows happened is Trump giving traitor Michael Flynn $1.25 million in your tax money. Flynn, Trump’s 1st national security adviser, pleaded guilty twice to lying to the FBI but was pardoned by Trump. He sued, alleging "weaponization," and DOJ paid him in March. 1/4🧵

The agreement was an extraordinary example of how the Trump administration has offered legal relief to those aligned with the president.

He was also very publicly paranoid & was publicly promoting a variety of factually untrue beliefs as his best intelligence inputs. To the point where Flynn should've been considered a very high priority insider threat by counterintelligence just on these two items alone. 2/

I have a theory regarding Flynn. Back in 2013 he met w/the then head of the GRU, his Russian counterpart, in Russia. At that time it was publicly known that Flynn was disgruntled, unhappy with DOD leadership, & w/Obama who had made him head of the DIA because he'd been very public about it. 1/

"The commander-in-chief did not blame Iran. He blamed MN, claiming it attacked itself. 'You know who's behind it?' Trump said. 'Minnesota, because they're grossly incompetent.' Who's going to tell a presidential brat otherwise when telling him is so costly?" www.editorialboard.com/america-is-n...

"What does he say to people who hate illegal taxes, who hate paying higher prices as a result of those illegal taxes, and who constitute a clear and overwhelming majority that is going to act with prejudice against his party in the coming midterms? 'Tariffs have been incredible.'"

Correct but the fact that the leftists keep winning and are better organized and motivated than they’ve ever been before does. It remains to be seen how much and how hard the empire successfully strikes back in this intra party conflict but ofc the Dems are going thru their “tea party” phase rn…

My ice-cold boring take that will definitely not go viral is that a primary result with a margin of victory of roughly 1 percent tells you precisely nothing about The Future Of The Party.

Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Temu, Tavern, Walmart, Marketplace, Wayfair, Segway, Deepower, Wilson’s E-Bikes and several dozen other online retailers will receive cease and desist notices demanding they stop selling devices that don't meet the city's legal standards for e-bikes or e-scooters.

“Like other Haitians losing #TPS, they now face an agonizing choice: Try to stay in the US and find underground work, constantly fearful of being caught by [ICE] agents. Or return to a nation so overwhelmed by gang violence and poverty that some feel deportation is tantamount to a death sentence.”

“In Salisbury, the Eastern Shore’s biggest city, about 10% of the 33,000 residents are Haitian, many of them employed under #TPS as farmworkers, caregivers and in the poultry plants that are the region’s economic backbone.”

The Boston Red Sox play against Boston College some day during most spring training seasons. The Red Sox sometimes lose these games! No one thinks this means BC is better.

It also wouldn't really prove anything. The 1992 Dream Team was beaten by a selection of the best NCAA players. And sure, there were *reasons* for that result but the fact that anything can happen in sports is kind of the reason people are into it. Either enjoy it or shut the fuck up about it.

It's just sexist posturing. These guys need women to know their place (even as they are clearly inadequate). Relying on some imagined humiliation on the part of women ("high schoolers would beat you!"). Gives the same vibe as viewing sexual assault as a viable way to police women's sexuality

I heard that WNBA teams scrimmage against teams of male ex-college players, since there's plenty of guys who can't make a living playing ball who but at least want to make a buck. And the scrimmage teams have terrible rollover because they get consistently beaten and the players don't take it well

Yeah, comparing to the *overall population* is the big thing here. Combined pros in the NBA and WNBA is ~730 IIRC. Let's call it another 1,000 for G-league, other minor leagues, and Americans playing in Euro or Chinese teams, then round to 2k. 1 in 171,500 Americans. 0.0000058%.

“The top 0.5% of men’s basketball players could beat the top 0.1% of women’s basketball players.” “Why no, I’m not in either group. Yes, I care about this deeply for…personal reasons” Just the lamest fucking people on earth. Who cares? Who cares at all? It’s irrelevant

Don't just drive past the premise, though, which is absurd. Any WNBA team is exclusively the top 0.01% athletes in the sport. Pretending that a high school team could hang with, much less beat, them is ridiculous.

Okay so the context here is the USWNT did some experimental lineups, tactics, and player changes in a camp scrimmage against the national top line U-15 boys academy team for Dallas, it wasn't just "a team of 14 year-olds" uswomensoccer.com/uswnt-vs-fc-...
