Was talking to oomf about roleplaying, and I think one of the main reasons I stopped with RP over time is because too many people will have a version of your character in their minds and just not be receptive to the fact that maybe they got it wrong and are projecting something that isn't real.

if you don’t share writing here, i think it’s less clear how difficult it is to get people to care about written work. even pieces with tons of reposts/likes here may not get hits/kudos/comments/etc from those interactions. very few people read the linked works and connect with their writers.
