I get why now in the Matrix they stayed connected 24/7 because this constant forgetting social media exists for weeks at a time is incredible but then like, I know I’m missing so many interesting things. Mostly interesting things.

I like those pharmaceutical commercials because I like to guess which other person besides the person the camera is focusing on desperately needs the medicine the commercial is selling.
The thing that made me finally get MAGA, like to actually understand the movement and buy into everything, was Antony Starr’s performance as Homelander. He his hands down my favorite actor and everything about Homelander I buy into hook, line, and sinker.

And being able to help for the first time because when my son first learned how to walk, I just barely got approved to put weight on my leg after 7 months of bed rest.
The thing I hate most about being away from social media are all the awesome people I met and got to know. The thing I love most about being away from social media is missing out on the stupidest moment in human history by quite a stretch. Old Testament times would have been a close second.

The craziest thing about taking breaks from social media is coming back on to a world that is very different. The months often feel like years.
The year is 2027. I’m watching college basketball. It’s a close game. That doesn’t matter. I’ve got $5,000 running on what happens on the next play The game doesn’t matter. Just this play. The player who has the ball is a stakes owner in the gambling service I’m using. Life is weird.
