Thread on the HWA, and puts it far better than I could. We all have limited time, and to volunteer to try to change something that already feels so far gone... Well, I think a lot of us just feel our time is better spent elsewhere at this point.

Terrific article about the govt's new "science policy" that shreds university basic research in favor of a tech bro approach to innovation. Little does the Trump admin realize that innovations from drugs to AI depend on basic research that the for-profit sector does not produce.

a) there are, like, single digit trans girls in sports in most states (sometimes literally one!), this entire thing is made up so that one girl who wants to play sports with her friends can't do it b) do not, under any circumstances, make policy based on angry sports parents
