Random online gaming pick-ups! - Firebugs for PS1, CIB - DualShock 2 controller; seems to have a bad button membrane flex board thingy, sticks are fine but few buttons work; ordered replacement membrane - Unbranded Saturn-style USB controller; had factory bodge wire come loose, now fully fixed
If you loved the first bit of Grandia's spirit of adventure as much as I do, I think we'll both enjoy London Spirit Detectives for PS1. Looks and sounds adorable. Another no-AI translation (tools included) hot off the presses. 🔥
I am very proud to announce that our English translation patch of London Spirit Detectives is now done and released on GitHub. Thanks to aishsha, bigbanana23, Cash Ogawa, Pennywise, Ryusui, TheMajinZenki and vervalkon What a wonderful project! See reply for details.
So it turns out that Ryota Kawade, director of the first three Paper Mario games, directed Dragon Hopper. Not only was this the first game that he directed but also the ONLY game he directed outside of the Paper Mario series.
I've been playing it a little more and... This actually kinda gives me Paper Mario vibes. Considering this was developed by Intelligent Systems and was scrapped one year before PM64 started development, I wouldn't be surprised if some of this game's ideas were carried over.
Long and slender digital cameras of the mid-90s: The Ricoh RDC-2S. I love the horizontal form factor and flip up screen of this 1996 0.4mpx digi cam. 2mb internal storage, and offered photo transmission via a mobile/cell phone and the PHS network.
given current industry news, it's time to roll this one out again i reckon
Brought to you by Cabal Translations Notice: - Artificial intelligence tools were NOT used in the creation of this patch - The instruction is included on-disc at \EXTRA\MANUAL.PDF PATCH: github.com/bigbanana23/...

Just got back from a doctor's appointment, it's now 8:50 am and already 26°C. I can't wait for summer to be over.

EA's annual Ebitda is around $1.5 billion, which should be enough to service the interest payments. But the publisher has told debt investors that it will cut $700 million in annual costs including $170 million in "organizational efficiencies," per Bloomberg. In other words: mass layoffs
EA officially goes private tonight, meaning: - EA will no longer trade on the NASDAQ for the first time in 36 years - All stockholders of EA (including many employees) will receive $210/share - EA will take on $18 billion (!) in debt, putting it on the hook to pay ~$1.8 billion/year in interest
*browsing Steam* Ohh~ this looks interesti—AI CONTENT DISCLOSURE Never mind...
what the fuck is this dipshit on about? YEAH WE WOULD BE, WE ALREADY DONT USE IT!! WE FUCKING HATE IT!?

"it looks like you're using an adblocker to visit our site." yep! ha ha! it rocks!
Somebody asked me on Reddit why people who use AI to generate Recomp projects are currently being rejected from the communities and what they can do to fix this. I might tweak parts of this to be a more general blog post at some point, but this should be of help to anyone in a similar situation.
I made a free, browser based x86 disassembler with CPU-specific modes. Disassemble POP CS at last! No ads or trackers. If I ever make it shitty, fork it. #retrocomputing #emulation #assembly #x86 #reverseengineering dasm.martypc.net
