Blackfin Barracuda (Sphyraena qenie). Pic from My Reef (yes, it's really called that; I have no idea why), Raja Ampat And yes, they look just as grumpy as every other barracuda I've come across. I've never seen one smile. #MarineLife #Wildlife 🌿🐟

In case you missed it, the account mrrobertbob posted an extremely viral but misleading pic of a "flapjack octopus" who then blocked everyone who correctly pointed out it was GenAI. Stop sharing posts with images without credit/provenance. Lots of fakes/grifter accounts out there.

Unfortunately this seems to me like another example of a real animal, slopped by AI 😡🦑 Check these source images from @mbarinews.bsky.social who actually observed it. No frontal "mouth" (just a fold between arms further down at most), no suckers visible when on the bottom, eyes less forward
