Trans woman killed by transphobic medical neglect in an NHS hospital, linked to legal fundraiser in quoted post.

Joelle was 27. She was a gifted musician, a self-taught coder, funny, generous and deeply loved. She had an aggressive lymphoma that almost always curable when treated as a medical emergency. A bed was available on the cancer ward when she arrived at Wolverhampton NHS Trust. After staff saw that she was a trans woman, she was removed from the ward and placed in a side ward on the other side of the hospital. She suffered 16 days in this room, deteriorating in agony, without cancer pain management. Joelle and her mum Jane were told emergency chemo could not start until she was in the right ward and there was not a bed. She explicitly pleaded for a bed on either the male or female ward. Because she was trans they made her wait for a rare single room. It is unsurvivable to delay treatment for 16 days with this rare but very well understood lymphoma. By the time she received emergency chemotherapy, it was already too late.

NHS England's new trans segregation regime for hospitals will kill people. We know this because there are real examples of how NHS "corridor care" is *already* killing people. But you can help - Trans Legal Clinic are fundraising legal action for a trans woman who died. Please donate and/or share!

a cartoon directed by ben "bugs" hardaway had a model sheet with a rabbit labeled [bug's bunny], and this eventually became the name "bugs bunny" so what i am saying is that technically "bugs bunny" is a term like "frankenstein's monster"

a model sheet with the early version of bugs bunny who sounds like woody woodpecker and looks weird and it's labelled [MODEL SHEET M.M. 22. "Bug's Bunny"

For indigenous peoples day i wanted to bring attention to the chinook tribe. I live on unconceded chinook territory however they are not federally recognized. Meaning they have no protections They were legally recognized in 2001 however this was reversed 18 months later Official website below

Home - Chinook Justice

Restore federal recognition for the Chinook Indian Nation. Congress has the authority to recognize tribes — and can restore the Chinook’s rightful recognition that was granted 20 years ago.

#BLFC2026 Wear a mask. That means wear an N95 in all public indoor areas but especially in con space. I will have a limited amount of N95s with me. If you need one, just ask! Protect yourself and your community. We are ramping up hard for Covid/Flu season and western NV already has high levels.

Covid heat map based on cdc wastewater levels from October 12. Particularly high levels in California, Pacific Northwest, Texas, Alaska and Florida.

This Indigenous People's Day, I wanted to promote the incredible handmade leather work by my good friend Tommy, Native Necromancy on fb, @amealformaggots on insta. He is Lenape of the Turtle Clan. You can see his work in person at both Gonzo Glass Studio and Cerridwen's Hearth in Mount Holly NJ.
