This is the clearest illustration I have ever seen of the way infection control and public health refuse to act responsibly on aerosol disease transmission. Doing the right thing today would mean admitting they could have yesterday, but chose not to. Repeat, forever. #medsky #polisky #scisky

A drawing of the "trolley problem" only there is a single track and the caption reads "You can stop the trolley at anytime, but then there will be survivors who might tell authorities you tied everyone up"

“The night before I broke a pretty wild story last week, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith was at a conference in Edmonton promoting AI data centres. Then my story went live on Friday ...” @drewanderson.bsky.social writes about his scoop that’s causing a stir in Alberta. 🧵

Reminder as we head into back to school season: Covid isn't seasonal - it spreads all year round. It's also not just respiratory. It's a systemic multi-organ virus. Masks, clean air, vaccines, testing, staying home when sick are all part of the solution

Seeing lots of COVID minimizing / memory-holing in the U.S. lately. A reminder of what it was like at its worst here in Alberta: "The deadliest week came right around Christmas [2020]. From Dec. 21 to 27, the novel coronavirus was claiming 24 lives per day across the province. One death per hour."

I have only had one person aggressively question my mask wearing in six years. I quite simply have not encountered the push back others seem to get. Is it my height? My direct eye contact? Something in my stride? I’m genuinely interested to know. (“Be taller” is not a solution, I know…)
