These U.S. kits are pretty good but I don't like how there's a big blank space for the numbers that interrupts the stripes. There should be, like, a blue patch with white numerals instead. Or better yet, just have a field of stars we can count every time we need to know a player’s number.

Along with the great points here, I think people long for tactility. Everyone I know hates the touch screens in cars and prefers dials. A physical media collection is something you can display and organize. A Walkman hums in your hand.

People don't long for "inconvenience." They long for permanence. And though streaming services may be convenient, people are waking up to the fact that we are paying rent-seeking middle men month after month for things we will never actually own.
