“Our latest findings on their feeding adaptations counter the myths that drove the thylacine to extinction.” This animal was hunted to extinction. They assumed it was a livestock predator with no evidence. There were bounties. Fuck British colonizers forever, man.

Majority of US animation companies: anyone can apply! No geofence or restriction Australia, New Zealand, Canada, UK, Ireland, etc: if you don’t allow us to qualify for a tax subsidy you can FUCK OFF. Don’t even bother filling out a form.

Being bullied on Instagram for pointing out that prairie dogs in the US still carry bubonic plague 😭 “this is why you’re a FORMER lead artist” Hey fuck you, knowing a fact about plague carriers has nothing to do with a recession/mergers/rampant outsourcing to chase tax incentives.

Does anyone have experience with depop or other clothing sale sites? I have some fandom or studio-related clothing (good condition, gently worn) that I’d like to try and get some cash for

My hottest take is that we should eliminate right-on-red and also make all pedestrian crossing go at once. Drivers don’t have to wait for people when turning left or right, pedestrians don’t have to worry about idiots “not seeing them” or close calls. Also all corners should have bump-outs.

Defector gave me the chance to write about something deeply personal and meaningful to me, namely my belief that right on red is destroying our morals: defector.com/every-right-...

I have 3.5 days to pick an accent for a Cyberpunk 2077 ttrpg campaign. Not doing an accent is not an option. I was Scottish for years, I’ve done French, English (posh), and Valley Girl. Do we think I can wrangle an Australian accent in time?? For Saturday???

We moved to Virginia and I didn’t have a lot of books. I’d read The Hobbit and my mom thought this would keep me occupied. This specific edition of LotR launched life-long friendships, my career in film, and my love of writing and storytelling.

In honor of Dolly and her commitment to getting books to kids, tell me about a book you read as a child that changed your life. I’ll start: so many, but tonight maybe I’ll say A WRINKLE IN TIME, a book that taught me anger wasn’t wrong.

Oof the post-contract ennui is hitting hard. Anyway, if anyone needs a CG/2D animation compositor and technical director who can work in Nuke or AE, and has feature and TV experience, I’m available ASAP 🥰
