Well worth a watch, although it did put me in the strange position of largely agreeing with Ben Habib.
The Reform donations story is obviously exploding right now, and it just so happened that on Thursday I spoke to Ben Habib, Reform's former deputy leader, about what he knew and what he thinks of Farage now. It's worth a watch, it's pretty excoriating. Some key bits: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qq_L...
An essential view to understand the internal dynamics of Reform UK and Restore Britain - and some jaw dropping details.

Fascinating interview. Interesting that Habib does not connect Farage’s dismissive comments on the Parliamentary Standards Committee with a contempt for Parliament and Reform’s threat to democracy.

Habib has a mortality. It’s unexpected and limited. It doesn’t make his politics palatable but it does give his views some power. He seems genuinely outraged by Farage and Lowes financial shenanigans.

This is fascinating if you're watching it with a skeptical eye in that Ben Habib is so careful to message control and around Farage. He's asked direct questions about George Cottrell to which he answers "well it's all quite nebulous" and then moves on to discussing some things "in the public domain"

This is a totally surreal moment in the Epstein scandal. They win the top award for exposing a pedophile, then have to shake hands with said pedophile.
Remarkable camera angle of President Trump as he listens to Wall Street Journal reporters receiving an award for their investigation into Trump’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein — which they pursued despite Trump’s threats and lawsuit.

Right!!! I'm a total football novice but my partner was totally despondent about the fact they spent most of the match defending but erm isn't that half the game
I hope we can wake up tomorrow in the kind of culture that acknowledges they just played really well and held their own for a long time against an excellent team. Instead of abusing them for making it to the semi-finals
It is mad that we have, somehow, allowed net zero - a policy common to all major parties under 5 years ago and supported by a majority of the public - to become a synoym for mad radicalism. It is doubly mad that we've allowed this to happen during the hottest summer on record.
I’m sorry, but what is ‘radical’ about the policies pursued by Miliband?

Much of the coverage of Ann Widdecombe's death is just voyeurism justified by the fact she was a politician and it may therefore be a 'political' story. Think it's just crass rubbernecking featuring frankly excessive detail in many cases.
Feel like true crime colliding with 24 hour political commentary is the cross breeding of two terrible media pathologies.
The current stack of charges against Farage and Reform. Just in case you’d lost count. Spoilt-brat richboy, Tice, calls it all “a politically motivated smear” rather than the frenziedly greedy and corrupt piss-taking that it is. “Reform and Farage have repeatedly denied any wrongdoing” (iPaper)
Good article in The Lead. So now it's down to the voters of Clacton. But even then, says Zoe, he is toast. @europeanmovement.co.uk
He might win the by-election, but I still think he's lost the fight. Bad move imo Snap analysis for @theleaduk.bsky.social open.substack.com/pub/theleadu...
