You know theoretically if I were to rename one of the Great Lakes, I would get a small skiff and also I wouldn't take a lifejacket or check the weather because those are for the woke wusses great lake perfec t size for put old man in to sail

Actually, let's do an #artshare here in this thread! If you're an #artist on Bluesky that doesn't use GenAI, feel free to drop your #commission post in the replies here! #art And if you're not an artist, please do commission the ones below to keep the community alive over here!

And in case you didn't know from my frequent reposts about it: I'm one of the few developers here against Generative AI and every type of it; this feature was built by my own fingers in the keyboard for the past month. Let's keep Bluesky the definitive way of finding amazing artists!

Hi! So our eSims are keeping a whole hospital going in Gaza, and countless of students who are studying for exams right now. Our funds are about to run out because the usage of those eSims are especially high. <3 #ConnectingGaza

Are there like, spiritual successors to 3D Movie Maker or Storybook Weaver like. I think it's time for spiritual successors This is rhetorical but also if there are games like that please tell me

So I don't know very much about music but in trying to take public domain scores and translate them to Musescore I do get that there's work involved in that. But also it feels weird to me how many public domain songs (not even new arrangements!) People want you to pay money for you to download

I've been working on music for Razzopolis which so far is a mix of fixing up music I composed a few years ago + doing my own versions of public domain music from the early 1900s. We'll see how well that will work!

"Indies will save us" No! YOU WILL SAVE INDIES! Go leave a review for that neat indie game you like, share the trailer for an upcoming game you're anticipating, tell your fave developer they did a good job, go tell people about such and such game that's just come out, you can make a difference!

Thinking once again about being in a journalism class circa 2023ish and discussing the decline of Twitter & when I brought up the effect on the livelihood of artists the instructors, professional journalists, went "there are artists on Twitter?" "I only follow journalists"

Your occasional reminder that there are places to do this for free or minimal $$. Neocities, for one, is currently great for this. I personally use the code provided by rarebit.neocities.org for all of my comics. Cartoonist Coop also has great resources like this vid: youtu.be/cMuKaDJ5rq0?...

Shit like this is why "never sign a deal with webtoon, host your own webcomic" has landed in my top 5 pieces of advice for young artists
