They hate gender studies for the same reason they hate legitimate journalism: They don’t like people pointing out what they’re doing.

NEW: I spent last week with Muslim Republicans - including the founder of CAIR Texas - as they tried to confront hate at the Texas GOP convention. It was a constant stream of anti-Muslim bigotry, a preview of what America will look like should Christian nationalists get their way.

I watched the 2005 Finals with my grandma, tuning in a bit late when the games conflicted with her novela. But she prayed “en el nombre de Jesus” for every crucial free throw. Ginobli was her fav. I don’t know much about miracles but the Spurs won that year with God’s favor.

The only thing tempering my schadenfreude over Cornyn’s embarrassing primary loss is the fact that Texans might be crazy enough to elect Paxton, a petty, corrupt, immoral philanderer with no interest in governing, let alone good government.
The DNC could have commissioned someone more competent once it became clear this was a wash, but giving up and then publishing it anyway just emphasizes their inability to hire and manage decent vendors
This has been the story of so many “serious” Republicans—Sasse, Rubio, Cornyn. So many furrowed brows, so little solutions.

It was of a man who said some relatively humane things then helped derail deals that could have actually passed. As though it were a matter of principle to accomplish little in terms of both politics *and* policy.

Anyway, reiterating that point that it is impossible for the US to "win" this situation or do anything to bring it to a resolution one way or another because this country can no longer make *credible* commitments of any kind, full stop.
