The next question is "What fraction of airborne Ebola cases are being identified?" The answer is "whatever they happen to notice while looking for non-airborne transmission", because the IPC muppets who declared COVID couldn't possibly be airborne did the same with Ebola, so no one checks.
🧵 For anyone wondering whether IPC and public health leaders are competent to manage Ebola, the answer is a categorical "no". Current WHO guidance, released May 17, 2026, is still based on the 5-micron error (p51 & 58), out of date since 1934. The quacks responsible should be in jail.

Why do I mask? Yes, it's because I have an immune system issue and need to avoid Covid. But the real reason is 6 years of empirical data. I don't get sick anymore! I used to be sick multiple times a year. Missed several once-in-a-lifetime events I still regret. Mask means not sick? Gimme mask.
I work at the airport. I'm one of a dozen people i see mask regularly, out of hundreds. Those hundreds? They're complaining constantly about being sick. About making their family and friends sick. And they just accept that as a thing that'll happen. Like there's nothing to be done.

One more nail in the coffin of the "it's just deconditioning" hypothesis. 60 days of strict bed rest ≠ #LongCOVID or #MECFS. Rob's group shows that while exercise capacity may be similarly reduced, the underlying skeletal muscle biology is VERY different. Time to move beyond outdated assumptions.
