It's hard to imagine what it must be like to not even try to have a coherent worldview, just a series of often mutually exclusive talking points

The overwhelming right wing sentiment is that COVID was an engineered bioweapon that was also harmless. Trump overreacted to it by shutting down the country, then engineered a drive to create a vaccine that was the real bioweapon that killed millions, and it's Joe Biden's fault.

My great-grandfather was among the first Jews sent to Dachau, but it had operated for 8 years prior. He arrived to find a concentration camp already full of communists and other leftist dissidents. The public's acceptance of their incarceration paved the road for his own.

Another thing I should add. My GG was a German WWI war hero. Every day, my great-grandma went down to Dachau and protested outside to the Nazi guards while wearing his medals. Sound familiar?

DSA is for all its flaws a thoroughly small d democratic organization in that if you rally enough people and get them involved you can change just about anything eventually. there's no policy or financial elite gatekeeping the status quo, just other organizers.

You either believe that a state is entitled to deny self-government or self-determination to 33% of its population indefinitely based on ethnicity or you don't. Everything else is commentary.

💯 This is the kind of consensus that is an unquestionable premise. Not just majority opinion, but the basis of public debate. Jewish-Israeli society looks at you like you're crazy or evil if you suggest it's not up to Jewish-Israelis to decide how much to oppress the Palestinians and for how long.

I adore you Leon, Egyptologist here, they were built by a largely volunteer force (corvée labor) of 25,000. The builders were very well fed, paid in bread and beer, and received excellent medical care. There was no slavery whatsoever, it is a common misconception.
