the PROMO crew are heroes, doing the real work that needs to be done for Trans rights in this country. Imagine if Democrats nationwide had organized something like this a year or two ago, Maybe we wouldn’t be here now. 🏳️‍⚧️

PROMOs 10 year plan is to create a pro-trans majority in Republican dominated Missouri. Is that even possible? How are they doing it? Our EIC @evanurquhart went to St. Louis to find out. Here's his story: assignedmedia.org/breaking-new...

Dancing very very VERY close to saying “OpenAI stole our almost-complete proof of Navier-Stokes from internal access to our ChatGPT sessions because they were desperate to scoop Anthropic” which is absolutely 100% a believable thing OpenAI would do right now cims.nyu.edu/~tristanb/st...

Trans people belong in sports, trans people belong in our communities, trans people belong 🏀🩵🤍💕 Join us outside Barclays Center on 8/22 from 4:30-7:30 before the NY  Liberty vs. Indiana  Fever game; we’ll have bubbles, zines, flags, and big signs to show everyone our LIBERTY PRIDE!

A flier with a light blue background featuring "Equality Means Inclusion" in large bold black text across the top. In the center is a photo of a gray elephant mascot (Ellie the Elephant) wearing a teal basketball jersey numbered 00, a small crown, and green sneakers, holding a hand fan and a white tote bag. Surrounding the mascot on both sides are the words: "Blow Bubbles! Share Zines! Educate Folk!" on the left, and "Share Stories! Forge Allies! Express Joy!" on the right. The trans pride flag colors, blue, pink, and white, appear as accents throughout. At the bottom it reads: "Join us and support Trans Joy and Inclusion! Outside Barclays Arena Before the Liberty v. Fever Game. August 22, 2026 @ 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m."

I would also like to know how we can replicate the organizing efforts of the niche, micro-community of the New York Times, at least 2-3 billionaires, the Atlantic, the Republican Party apparatus, the evangelical church, the ADF, the Liberty Council, etc.

Trans rights have been litigated vis a vis an intentional, choreographed strategy designed at every turn to look like an organic reaction to progress. Never forget that, especially not in the coming weeks.

"You can't bargain your way into defeating the far right. Over and over and over again, center left politicians in the US have sought to strategically soothe the anxieties of center right voters while punching left and over and over again, they lose elections."

For my newsletter I wrote about how Kier Starmer should serve as a warning for centrist Democrats in the US. It's a real crystal ball moment. www.burnsnotice.com/its-the-cent...

Cardinal Tobin “encouraged detainees and their families to have hope.” "Human dignity is not a concession granted by any gov’t; it is the will of God, who created us according to his own image and nature," he said. "And for that reason, no gov’t can take away our dignity.”

Rosary service brings 'prayerful, peaceful presence' to NJ immigrant detention facility

In response to rising tensions at the Delaney Hall immigrant detention facility in Newark, the Archdiocese of Newark held a prayer service about half a mile from its entrance.

It is not enough to win elections. It is not enough to beat Trump. It is not enough to bring only some along. The only way to save our democracy is to realize we never had one. And that our job all along was to create a true one. And the only way to do that is to fight for all of us.
