we were out this weekend again door knocking for our candidate @laurenbirdgreen.bsky.social getting the word out about the upcoming by-election on October 8th. we heard our neighbours thoughts and concerns regarding the Midstocket and Rosemount area and how we would help tackle them.

A decision we can really get behind, protecting natural environments is a fundamental core of the Scottish Greens! But more can & should always be done. Green councillors will push for more environmental protections across the city and Shire if elected in May, including rejecting AI data centres!

The SNP have long promised a ban on cruel conversion practices, but time and again they have delayed. We can't wait for, or trust Westminster to deliver a watertight ban on these abusive practices; we need a Scotland-specific ban now.
This is something that is vastly important to many people across Scotland. In Aberdeen, we want to give more support to parents, we want to use community centres to give children of all ages somewhere to learn, develop, and play outside of an education setting, we want every child to be happy.

Our lovely branch members have been out and about delivering our Green News leaflets this past weekend. We want to deliver positives changes to Aberdeen City & Shire from more and better public transport links, to safer, community driven energy storage.
A completely avoidable tragedy. Jason Arday will now be solemnly eulogised by the same journalists who hounded him to death for the sake of spinning this story out a few days longer.
So disastrously irresponsible of this Labour leadership candidate. Any politician willing to promote burning more fossil fuels whilst Scotland is on fire, the UK is in drought and the just transition is starved of funding, is selling all our futures.

To create well-paid, long-term jobs in the North East and tackle the climate emergency, we must invest in renewables.
Good food should be something everyone can access. I'm pleased to lodge this motion welcoming the progress towards a public diner in Dundee. It's an exciting step towards tackling food inequality, strengthening communities and building a fairer food system.
