The second attack in two weeks on an LGBT+ bookshop in Glasgow. STV posted this story on Facebook and there is an endless stream of comments underneath suggesting the answer is for them to stop using the word "queer", stop supporting trans rights, and stop being so visible. Mainstreamed hate.

Glasgow's drug consumption room has dealt with 195 medical emergencies since it opened last year. It saves lives. Drug addiction and misuse is a health crisis. We need a major expansion of harm reduction and treatment services, including safe consumption facilities.
I was tortured as a child because I was gay. Humiliated. Punished. Threatened. Denied healthcare. I very nearly died. If the Scottish Government are too afraid of the SNP right-wing to ban conversion therapy, spare us the bullshit excuses, do us the dignity of admitting it.

Polls are now OPEN in the Southside/Newington and Portobello-Craigmillar by-elections. 🌟 The @scottishgreens won the largest amount of votes for any party in Edinburgh during the Holyrood election. 🫵 That means that with your first preference vote, we can win in both wards.
Disappointed that @monicalennon.bsky.social won’t make the @scottishlabour.bsky.social leadership contest. We have different political views, but this highlights the inequality women still face in politics. The old boys club sticking together feels all too familiar.
Today marks the 90th anniversary of the Spanish Civil War. A total of 549 Scots volunteered to fight in Spain. Proportionally more Scots volunteered than from any other country. We still have a lot of work to do in Scotland to tackle fascism, racism, and all forms of discrimination.

There must be no more delays on ending conversion therapy in Scotland. LGBTQ+ people deserve an apology, but they also deserve an end to their pain. We need to urgently bring a Conversion Practices Bill to the Scottish Parliament, and ensure it leaves no-one behind.
