DRM is bad and should be illegal. Companies have told us for decades now that you're "buying" content but actually creating a lease, instead.
Timothy@landbeforetim.myatproto.social · 2d agoI’ll die on the hill that digital purchases shouldn’t be legally allowed to be deleted, removed from user access, etc because at that point that isn’t purchasing a game or product but rather renting it Once you digitally buy a game or media you should get to forever own your copy no matter what

the way gaming (both video and otherwise for that matter) went from being a heavily stigmatized hobby into becoming the biggest entertainment industry on the planet yet gamers still retain a belief that they're a scrappy oppressed minority rather than the majority. gamergate and its consequences....

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better
