In Dec 2024, Mazraoui refused to use a Man Utd jacket with support to the LGBT cause because it was against his religion. Today, Man Utd has announced a partnership with a betting company & yes, he was seen wearing a shirt with the sponsor on it So just a raging homophobe hiding behind religion

I mean, adjusted for inflation a plane ticket from New York to London in 1980 would cost about $4,500 dollars today. It's not that air travel has got worse. It's democratised. If you pay the 'old' price in modern money you basically get the same, if not better, experience than you did then.
Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.
The only way AI features in my workday is as an annoyance inserted into a program or website I use. It is something to be worked around. It is astonishing how quickly some people have become reliant on the flattery machine.
Guys like this don’t realize that they are the freak

It has, already, been a morning (sleepless child bouncing around the house at 4am, a power cut just as I’m about to have a shower, deadlines upon deadlines), and now I find that there is *almost* no milk in the house. Am I desperate enough…?
Not unless you have a stepladder, some lube, and a 'can-do' attitude
with a full grown leviathan this is impossible
I'm not sure why we're posting about ai but I don't use AI in my writing, in my cover art, etc. I've had every feature that could automatically modify text in Word turned off for decades, and AI is just more of the same. Every edit lovingly done by hand.
In today's 'need to update mental model' news, I've learned that a single frame of IMAX is about the same size as an entire 8mm reel.
It's OK for criminal ex-neo Nazis to run your bins is a hell of a line.
Weird how the dogshit austerity fiscal rules are a red line but things like environmental protection and stopping domestic violence aren't

How you can spot a Black Flag player: the way they shout "EDWARD!" in a tone that is both frustrated and disappointed as he throws himself in a random direction.
Me, being a sort of specialist on one specific author and one specific set of books! Do listen, crime fiction and noir fans!

The Simpsons’ spoof James Bond episode ‘You Only Move Twice’ was first broadcast in November 1996, which means it’s closer in time to the release of YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE than it is to the present day. More news on how ancient we all are as we get it.
Cheers from the pub at the top of the village that does half price ale on a Tuesday. Fiver for two pints.
This is why TTRPG players should be treated by the GM like Hitchcock treated actors. They can't be trusted.
Sometimes when nothing's happened for twenty minutes, it's just time for something to happen. All out of good ideas? Bound to have a few terrible ones.
NARRATOR: Stephen was one of those boys. And his sledge was called Clitoris.
Scottish exam results are today. Cue my yearly anecdote about the boys from my year who opened their results live on local radio, only for them to be so poor they refused to read them out.
Oh bless. Look what happens when a TTRPG player thinks they have 'rights' They'd get more respect if they actually paid attention to clues once in a while.
I certainly agree we deserve minimum levels of respect as players.
It's not infantilising anyone to have boundaries or rules for your table as GM. Its establishing minimum levels of respect for other players and the experience.
Not speaking ill of the dead is how Jimmy Saville got something approaching a state funeral.
Random fact of the day: A group of rhinos is called a crash. I reckon a group of Zoats must also be a crash.

Full on horror - the USS Indianapolis. Young Quint as POV with a salty old sea dog as his mentor, Herbie Robinson from Cleveland, a load of buddies and rivals, men under pressure in a time of war... And they all die. Every single character we've come to know. Except Quint.
let's pretend: Universal announces a screenwriting contest for Jaws 5. What's your pitch?
