I don’t know who these people are —or who this person is — and I don’t care (as in please don’t explain to me who it is, I don’t care) but absolutely unconscionable to compare my colleague Senator Fateh to Platner. You can dislike people and their politics, but this is beyond the pale.

Minnesota has been dealing with the most despicable violence from federal agents, with help from local law enforcement, as a result of racist rhetoric like this for months. At a time when law enforcement should be rebuilding trust with the community, Bob Fletcher continues spewing this rhetoric.

We made an error earlier in how we talked about today’s Supreme Court ruling against trans women and girls. A court ruling doesn’t change who belongs in Minnesota. The DFL unequivocally supports the rights of trans, non-binary, two-spirit, and intersex people to participate fully in society.

Trans kids shouldn't have to hope they won the geography lottery when it comes to their ability to play sports. Trans kids should not be banned from sports. That's it.

It says something that in a conflict between the convenience of dog owners, and the rights of indigenous people to their own goddamn land, she chose the dogs.

When Nick Shirley, Lisa Demuth, and House Republicans attacked our Somali neighbors, we stood up. When reporters and activists were arrested, we stood up. When our immigrant neighbors were kidnapped, we stood up. When our partners in this work were murdered, we stood up. Why should we sit now?

I’m spending half of my weekend inside volunteering at a convention. Same goes for the next few weekends. It’s not because I love conventions. It’s because I love my friends, some of whom I haven’t seen in months due to ongoing ICE activity. I’d sit inside on a sunny day for them anyday.

"Doctors diagnose based on patterns that are consistent over time, how it affects daily life, and... use treatments to reduce suffering and improve quality of life." The same is true for depression and anxiety and other diagnoses. Treatment of gender dysphoria ought to be viewed the same.

Tonight, we had a meeting of the Central Committee for CD5. At the very beginning, before it was called to order, Scott Graham, the chair, made an comment about the processes for the meeting and I asked him what credentialing process he was using and he straight up admitted he doesn't have one.

It’s been another busy week dealing with the ICE occupation in Minneapolis, but I wanted to give you a Burrito update! We started this project just over 5 weeks ago, and since then we’ve provided over 1150 meals for people, and spent almost $12k at local, immigrant-owned restaurants!

Can anyone believe that Homan (who was on video accepting a $50k bribe) or anyone in the Trump admin is negotiating in good faith? Minnesota (looking at you, Gov and Mpls Mayor) should take it's defense of the justice system seriously. We're the backstop to this fascist regime. Don't trust them.

Our local jails are pre-trial facilities. That means that the people being held there have not yet been convicted of a crime. When ICE takes people away before they have been convicted of a crime, they are preventing victims and witnesses from their opportunity to seek justice.
