We've paid 12 families rents in less than two hours. I will keep taking signal requests for people that want to do this because it's the first thing that is working pretty seamlessly.

I said we were done asking for rent money. But today I heard the horrifying fact that there are zero family shelter beds in the entire state of Minnesota. So we are going to try something new. We are going to do peer to peer funding. You take on urgent‼️ funding for one family. You send to them.

I’m sharing this All of Mpls email because I hope everyone (including journalists - especially you) will contrast Frey supporters’ rhetoric (and ex-Frey staffer Jacob Hill here) with the sincere testimony of Maddie Love. This kind of shitty, cynical game-playing is a reason a lot of us oppose Frey.

Earlier this month, Senator Omar Fateh claimed the DFL endorsement after an illegitimate, sham process that is facing scores of challenges from delegates across the political spectrum. As former State Party Chair Mike Erlandson said, it was "the most unfair and procedurally flawed process" he had witnessed in his 43 years of attending DFL conventions. If not for the cheating, mismanagement, and absence of any mayoral endorsement ballots actually counted, Fateh would not have collected the 60% of delegate votes necessary to be endorsed. All of Mpls is spearheading the efforts to get the State DFL to take these challenges seriously and restore integrity to the endorsement process. We'll keep you updated as these challenges progress. On the bright side, Minneapolis has seen a significant decrease in crime this year, with some metrics beginning to approach pre-Pandemic levels. This is major progress that is in jeopardy given the very public stance of Senator Fateh to defund and dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department. On top of this, our City Council majority is likely to be decided by a few hundred votes in a couple of wards, as it has been the last two election cycles. All of Mpls is preparing to contact over a hundred thousand voters with targeted media, grassroots organizing, and direct voter contacts. When voters go to the ballot box fully informed, we are confident they will choose a pragmatic progressive majority willing to work with the Mayor. In order to do that, we need resources and we need to make a statement at this end-of-month deadline. Please chip in today to help us show that Minneapolis stands united against the flood of national DSA money headed to prop up Omar Fateh and his allied campaigns. Thank you for your support! I am exploring a run for the MN Legislature in Senate District 53. I will make a decision after the session ends. For the next couple of weeks I will be reaching out to neighbors for their input and advice. I will also be working hard to deliver real results as we end session.

Just FYI, administrative warrants (like the ones used by ICE) are not judicial warrants (used by cops, signed by a judge). You do NOT legally have to open the door for an ICE officer with an administrative warrant *no matter what the ICE officer says.*

For our trans fam: The MN House has been seized by the GOP without the majority or authority to do so. But this DOES NOT MEAN our work to protect trans healthcare or trans refuge will be undone. Tim Walz is still our Governor. Dems will control the Senate. This is STILL a trans refuge state.
