Not only this, but doing overtime actually INCREASES the power disparity between the workers and the people in power at companies. Instead of doing overtime, use that time to organize your coworkers in a union. It is a much better use of your time.

The most consistent sentiment I see during games industry layoffs are “I worked so hard/made special requests/pulled overtime/I’m so confused!” Listen and learn from these sentiments. Don’t aspire to be a “star pupil” for studios. Support unions and initiatives made to fight this exact thing.

Hundreds of strangers in Belfast working together. Doing shopping, providing accommodation, driving kids to school, people to hospital appointments. Have just been told of a woman close to us who hasn't left her house since Monday so we'll be sorting her out today and getting her anything she needs

My gf has roped a load of churches into getting their members to collect a load of food that can then be distributed to those who need it across Belfast. Many are afraid to leave their houses, even to get food. People have been delivering food to strangers since this started.

You should hire Claire, she's a giant of her field and you'd be lucky to have her.
