The film will be directed by Nitya Mehra (Baar Baar Dekho). Reel FX is producing.

Now this is more like it! Paramount Animation doing a Bollywood-inspired musical animated film sounds unique enough to stand out in the mainstream animated film landscape (DreamWorks tried with Monkeys of Mumbai but that went nowhere). This is a Reel FX-developed film, too.

10 years ago today, The Little Prince was released on Netflix as its first “Netflix Original” animated film. It was meant to release in theaters March 2016 via Paramount, but they dropped it as the French producers didn’t pay $20M for marketing, plus it going against Zootopia.
Rewatching Barnyard rn, and I just got to that one super funny scene
That odd period of Paramount Pictures after being bought by Viacom, where they suddenly started releasing animated films in cinemas on a regular basis, with some kind of tie to their once-popular TV networks
Barnyard was meant to be an independently produced and financed animated film. Steve Oedekerk enlisted DNA Productions to do a 1999 demo, with the hope that they would do the film. Nickelodeon offered to back the project when they visited Oedekerk’s house and watched that demo.

David Ellison just comes off to me like an opportunist who will do whatever it takes to get his movie mogul dream without the work others put in, even if it damages his reputation hard, like using CBS (and possibly CNN) to kiss up to whoever’s the president, even if it’s a man as notorious as Trump.

I'm pretty certain I have a fairly good understanding of what your politics are by your actions. And penning an op-ed where you feign ignorance means you're pretty afraid of what's going to happen next.
It helps when characters like Spider-Man, Superman, and Batman are some of the most iconic superheroes ever, and Avengers is a big brand on its own even if most recent Marvel films have had it rough. They just to need to cut back on making so many connected TV shows which created a “homework” feel.

I feel so bad for Max G. Fibromyalgia does sound like one of the most painful conditions and it’s impossible for it to fully go away. It’s either he gets euthanized or he continues living but with constant pain and financial struggles. Here’s hoping to a peaceful resolution.

Honored and lucky to have met two of Gumball watterson’s voice actors. Jacob Hopkins (TAWG season 3-midway through season 5) Alkaio Thele (wonderfully weird of gumball).
I find it bizarre how these two (ranked among the best recent Paramount animated films alongside Transformers One) had the involvement of Paramount Animation artists based on LinkedIn profiles yet are under “Paramount Pictures” and aren’t part of PA’s filmography on Wikipedia.

I wonder why the sequel didn’t do as well at the box office as the first which was released when COVID was still a concern. Were audiences not clamoring for more? Did KPop Demon Hunters keep most families satisfied that the summer 2025 animated films in theaters suffered more?

Paramount Primal should focus on fresh concepts like this (it comes from the writer of Sony’s GOAT, Nic Curcio) rather than doing a shot-for-shot remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. Anyone else agree? deadline.com/2026/07/swee...

Movies deserve to be released in theaters, movies and shows deserve to be released outside of streamers exclusively, and movies and shows deserve to be released on physical media for people to own. They shouldn't be kept locked up in one specific place.
Imagine this movie existing because you're the kid son of the President of Paramount Animation and you wanted this to happen because Nepo Reasons only for the movie to bomb, have your dad's studio lose millions, and then even get your dad fired as a result
