Vic WAS nice to me. Many times. He also did some borderline-creepy things to me, AFTER he knew I was friends with one of his young female friends/fans. He also sexually assaulted one of my close friends. Almost like people (narcissists!) can hide their true colors when it’s advantageous to do so.

The number of times I've seen the "BUT HE WAS NICE TO *MEEEEEE*" defense for Vic is maddening. Bro, that's not a defense.

Vic Mignogna, a sexual predator and pedophile colloquially known as the R Kelly of Anime, expresses disdain that a judge concluded he was a public figure... ...after Vic himself filed a LOLsuit on the basis that he was a public figure losing million$ from being libelslandered

Speaking of which, he's not sorry. He still is crying and whining like a loser claiming about that shitty binder that had no proof of defamation at all, on top of blaming cancel culture on his removal from the anime industry and not y'know all the bad stuff he admitted to. archive.ph/BgrU1

He really hammers this home in multiple panels at the event, and he really wants people to take home the message that unworthy people are trying to steal the anime industry from you, the fans He does it in a non-specific way, and yet makes it very clear it's about him being denied work/appearances.

My favorite part is when he laments the current state of the anime industry and tells his fans that it belongs to them and not to let intruders hijack their industry because you know he's not talking about like the c-suite at Sony or anything, he's talking about people who don't enable his behavior

I find myself wondering why no one has mentioned that the year Trump drives all the skilled vegetable pickers out of the country, we just happen to get a food-borne parasite problem. What an unfortunate coincidence. Correlation can’t possibly mean causation in this case.

Representatives for Taylor Farms called the White House to try to delay a recall tied to one of the largest foodborne illness outbreaks in U.S. history www.wsj.com/health/taylo...

Representatives for produce giant Taylor Farms contacted the White House with an urgent plea: the company wanted to delay announcing a recall tied to one of the largest foodborne illness outbreaks in U.S. history.
The call, during which the company asked for more proof and more time before being linked to the outbreak, illustrates how one of the country’s largest produce suppliers sought to limit its exposure to a public-relations nightmare, while grappling with a costly and complicated recall. Over the past several weeks, health officials have been scrambling to contain the outbreak of cyclospora, which can cause explosive diarrhea. Some current and former government officials have criticized the handling of the outbreak, both by the administration and Taylor Farms.

Sometimes I go up to oblivious men who scroll on their phones for ten minutes straight on gym equipment and ask how many sets they have left. And sometimes I stare at them until they notice and get embarrassed.

In case you're wondering how Vic chose to begin his main panel of the weekend on Saturday with his biggest audience, he spent the first ten minutes talking openly about Maxey Whitehead dropping out of the con. Note how much he talks about speaking to Maxey's booking agent, and not Maxey herself.

Best part of the first panel here - Vic talks openly about AM Studios and how they're absolutely still working on making that studio a whole thing, they have lots of Japanese people offering them licenses And then he explains the ONE thing that's stopping them is they don't have money.

36 years ago today, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law. This came after decades of advocacy from the Disability Rights movement and changed our country and our City for the better.

Planning for this fall’s Japan vacation and absolutely flabbergasted that 19-year-old Alison and her classmates went to SEVEN CITIES in Japan across 10 days with no smart phones, rudimentary Japanese skills, and barely any money. How did we DO that???

It has been criminally underreported but Kelsey Pfendler has just rowed solo across the Pacific Ocean from the US coast to Hawaii in record time. A 2,400-mile unsupported journey in 43 days, 17 hours, and 55 minutes. Notably beating the Men’s record by 9 whole days.

I've never said "X" in real life. As a writer, I only use it to say "X, the platform formerly known as Twitter" because I get paid per word and this earns me enough money for an appetizer

Someone on Twitter writes: "When was the last time u called it 'Twitter'"

They've attached two images: one is the original Twitter bird logo; the other is the new X logo
