Wheezy, our new boy, from Bakersfield, napping, bum warmed by nearby rad, security provided by underside of bed. Hadn’t imagined having a cat in the house again, this soon, but he’s special, not to mention special-needs. Deeply charming, too.
it’s definitely tied up with innocence. i think especially in a situation like this, with so many people conflating all palestinians with hamas, some might think it’s harder to sell the idea that innocent adults have been killed. there’s always that tiny bit of room for doubt.
