I think that the audio of the 16bit consoles is really an interesting area to examine. The Mega Drive/Genesis and SNES had such totally different sounds. One FM based, one sample based. Yet each was capable of producing masterpieces of in game audio. People will say that the MD audio was weak, /1

So good news is the drive wasn't dead. I was able to back up the files and fix the issue, which was a corrupted dracut. Arch Linux is fun but it can be a bit temperamental. XD

My main workstation PC's system SSD decided to give up on life this morning. Thankfully I rendered the video to a backup drive. It'll still go up on Friday. Gonna look into recovery options and have ordered a new SSD.

Get more frags in your next deathmatch! The Thrustmaster Frag Master: one of the attempts in 1998 and 1999 for a mouse and keyboard replacement via a hybrid joystick aimed at FPS games. In this case, something more akin to a particularly cursed looking flight or racing controller.

A scanned magazine ad for the Frag Master. It's a yoke-like controller with a molten white-ish plastic looking design that you grip with both hands with a wide rounded base at the bottom you put on your desk. And then you push it forward/pull it back to look up and down, pull push left and right etc.
