As it bans putting out rubbish in bags in more bits of the city – part of its drive to clean up streets – some residents say they don't have room in their homes for wheelie bins.

A farming friend did call the protesters "alleged farmers" at the time. Since the money is going spare, the excess should be used to supply free or heavily subsidised e-bikes to college students to support a generational shift away from car ownership. www.independent.ie/county/wexfo...

I'm surprised it's only 40%. I keep expenses spreadsheets and, out of curiosity, compared supermarket shopping from 2019 to this year. We're spending 73% more and it's not like we have suddenly acquired a champagne addiction.

I tried to park on-street in Galway last weekend, where the parking meters have all been turned off in favour of app payments, a royal pain in the ass, since I brought coins specially. Separately, I lost my car's logbook. You can only pay the €12 fee by cheque or postal order. Make it make sense!!!
