Today, the Supreme Court once again took a sledgehammer to Americans’ right to vote. They gutted one of the few provisions of the 1965 Voting Rights Act that were still in effect, opening the door to racist gerrymandering.

remember, Republicans could end this shutdown in a second — they control all three branches of government. but they don’t want to end the shutdown. these sadists want Americans — particularly, Americans in Democratic states — to suffer, and they’re using the shutdown as cover to perpetrate their fuckery. Russ Vought — the architect of Project 2025 who is now the Director of the Office of Management and Budget — is pissing himself with glee right now. he’s firing government workers who don’t need to be fired, and defunding government programs that don’t need to be defunded. all this is part of Vought’s Project 2025 wet dream to turn America into a Christian Nationalist dictatorship with Donny Convict permanently installed as King Fuckface the First. he’s been plotting this shit for years.
