Elizabeth warren was a strong platner supporter *against* a perfectly viable woman candidate from her own party with progressive policies *after* everything everyone already knew about his statements and nazi tattoo. I can't stand these stupid hypocrites. skin crawling just thinking about them.

note, he did not say "send a nazi," because ppl would rightly find that utterly repellant and horrifying. "vote for the party guy even though he might be a fascist," is almost as strange as saying that all senators do is "pull the D lever." ppl have lost their spines, cannot stand for what's decent.

Re: the Current Discourse: In an age of hyperpartisanship, all that matters about a US senator is whether they pull the D lever or the R lever when it comes time to vote. Everything else is noise. Send a monkey. Send a turnip. Send an AI bot. Long as they pull the D lever, I don't give a shit.

Platner himself aside, this is how you end up: -running women and minorities out of government -putting deeply unqualified people in charge of America -electing a bunch of wackos and probably no small number of fascists -further eroding the idea that government is anything but aesthetic

There was a low level GOP official ousted from his position earlier this year (Brian Ference) and I’ve been slowly watching as he rebranded his socials into a buff AI podcaster with American flags tattooed all over his chest and arms and gaining tens of thousands of new followers as a result.

Brian Ference -a pasty white man with a normal build, brown hair, and wire rim glasses. He’s wearing a red button up and black overcoat.Sword Truth — the alternative identity of Brian Ference. Sword Truth is a tan buff man with thick black hair combed back and a full black beard. He’s got shittily generated American flags tattooed on both his arms. New York Times: If you're gonna crib our headline, you could at least credit Nick Judin and the Mississippi Free Press for first reporting it 2 days earlier. I'm glad this story is getting national attention. But Nick puts a lot of himself in these stories, and deserves credit (just as we'd do).

So why has the @nytimes.com now published two stories following @nickjudin.bsky.social original reporting on Makoka boys without linking to or crediting him or the @mississippifreepress.org as most others have done?? Why can’t “big” media grow the hell up?
