Everyone saying “we need to have a respectful conversation” with these anti trans activists has let this situation spiral to this point. The WNBA could have said “we regularly review our policies we have nothing to update at this time this is a non issue” and ended this btw.

They were caught on camera going through @lydiakauppi.bsky.social garbage, we assumed they were following people doing grocery deliveries.

whenever these generation conversation come up I think of that quote from American Vandal: “we’re not the worst generation, we’re just the most exposed.” Covid affected a micro generation, but social surveillance probably impacted the totality of gen z’s experiences in ways that make me sad.

I feel like this is a pretty cursed question, even when the answer "helps" make the case against mass deportation. We've got to get comfortable arguing from a place of morality & respect for all rather than acceding to the capitalist fallacy that people are only valuable for their economic impact.

A new study from @brookings.edu examines employment data from US cities, those targeted by ICE raids and those which weren't. The study found that cities hit by ICE raids saw significantly greater job losses than the controls.
The current Lakers owner is being investigated by Trump's government for tax fraud. Today, it was announced that he is selling the team to a member of the Kushner family. A complete coincidence, I'm sure.
The Lakers are now quite literally a mickey mouse franchise and I now get to say it's morally wrong to be a Lakers fan? this is a fantastic day Not for the NBA, this is a horrible day for the NBA, but for me personally? Yes!
