The student paper editorial board: "We refuse for this victim to be reduced to just another story. Cornell has failed to protect its students. Cornell has failed to address the growing issue of sexual assault on campus with its pathetic task force."

Folks, quit falling for the okey doke; refuse to engage w/those committed to keeping false narratives and foolish “debates” in circulation. Yes, keep the focus on the critical issues and not the worn out culture wars.

No, you’re wrong. I’m not “piling on”Hakeem Jeffries. And please miss me w/all that “first black speaker” ish. If I could, I would banish that phrasing from everybody’s lips under penalty of death. I’m not carrying water for no shifty-eyed politician. He ain’t my people. And if he is yours, do you.

No, that is not the alternative The alternative was treating like a normal news story, and not a trial by media - one that was so clearly turbocharged by Arday’s ethnic and social background and the growing resentment in the establishment in the UK of having more black people in high places
The alternative to this is people lying with impunity, with the media knowingly covering it up. It's an awful story. And the media will get a lot of the blame. But those who perpetuated the lies and shielded Arday from facing up to them deserve more of it.

So mad that we live in a world of incredible critiques of the worst versions of DEI & identity politics (e.g. Taiwo’s Elite Capture and Asad Haider’s Mistaken Identity) and somehow huge swaths of the left seem to be picking Tyler Austin Harper and Vivek fucking Chibber
