A recent paper in @natureportfolio.nature.com raised concerns about the lesion network mapping method. Our team of 16 coauthors analyzed >1000 lesions and 34 symptoms and found that "The methodological foundations of lesion network mapping remain sound" www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...

We’re hiring! My lab @ucdaviscns.bsky.social is recruiting two postdocs in human intracranial neurophysiology & neuromodulation! We study cognition & emotion in movement disorders, record direct cerebellar & basal ganglia activity in real-world settings & develop adaptive DBS for non-motor symptoms.

I learned so much from a very sharp mind in this conversation. Equipped w an undergrad mathematics at Harvard, Medschool at Harvard, PhD at MIT, Terry has begun deeply thinking about dystonia and neuromodulation early on and has come up with a very unique sEEG based approach to treat tough cases.
