Hey artists. I'm 47 and I can say with certainty that I've never looked on a piece of art and wish I hadn't spent time on it. Even the bad pieces that are visually bad I learned what not to do. I have yet to regret having spent time on art, even if it doesn't yield. It's still worth it. Make time.

So happy to see the Big Bear eaglets fledge! Although Luna knocking Sandy out of the tree yesterday probably wasn’t what Sandy had in mind for a first flight. 😱

Big Bear Valley Bald Eagles. After spending some time scoping out a flight path and warming up his wings, Luna fledged beautifully (left). He landed at the top of a nearby tree, with Shadow below keeping an eye on him (right). He's likely having a what-now moment.

Well, I've been affected by the Bungie layoffs, and I guess I'm now looking for work. I'm a senior narrative designer on Destiny 2. I'm going to thread a little list of stuff I've done on the game; normally I go out of my way to avoid attention, but today I'd appreciate reposts.

My neighbor has a band. They were practicing late into the night, so I sent the following text. "Tell your bass player he needs a click track; he's consistently a 32nd note late on the attack." The music stopped entirely shortly thereafter.

I spent some time at Pechersk Lavra just a week before the coup that ended the Soviet Union. To see a thousand year old site that has endured through multiple regimes be specifically targeted by Putin in an attempt to erase their history and culture is heinous.

Back of House is a family friendly card game, bringing the competition & cooperation of working in a kitchen home. Easy to setup & even easier to play. It takes ~20 mins & 2-5 players older than 8. You're a diner cook trying to fill as many orders as possible before the kitchen runs out of food.
