It is I, Hamish Mack Can't fight corruption with con tricks They use the law to commit crime And I dread, dread to think what the future'll bring When we’re living in gangster times! The Specials- Gangsters

Unemployment at its highest level for 11 years, did I see? And THAT INCLUDES THE COVID AND LOCKDOWN TIMES. Thanks to the Ardern government that protected jobs and businesses at the time.

Physical abuse doesn’t help kids but cleaning up the abuse coming out of the mouths of ACT and NZF politicians might help us all. “Act wants to deal with the little shits in the classroom. Perhaps they should clean up the ones on their own turf first.” #nzpol

The little shits are coming from inside the House

Point taken Andrew, but my study of the Hansard from 2024 onwards is a clear record of how Winston Peters, far more than any other MP, is responsible for the decline in the standards of the House, which ironically he so often decries. The Speaker appears to be complicit in enabling this. #nzpol

“The Electoral Commission has told staff to turn away voters who aren’t on the printed roll and who say they’re unenrolled, but has no plans to count how many people will be affected.” So nice to see democracy in action, nothing to worry about here, love NZ’s accessible and clear election process.

The Opposition says people who think they're not enrolled should lodge special votes rather than being turned away from voting entirely.

Liam, a middleaged white man with RW leanings, finds Luxon, a middleaged white man with RW leanings "likeable". Meanwhile, Luxon is tanking with women across the board. Could it be that we don't care about how "likeable" someone is when their policies are actively and directly harming us 🤔

New Zealand journalists in 2082, as the seas have swallowed the land and we're living in a Waterworld-style society: Christopher Luxon is actually really great in person, the voters just need to get to know him.

Liam Dann, NZ Herald: "There’s been a lot of focus on Luxon’s leadership.

But anyone who’s met him in person will tell you he’s actually very likable. He’s friendly and affable, funny and often self-deprecating.

I’ve got plenty of left-wing friends who can’t stand him, but I don’t recall them having much love for Sir John Key either.

Perhaps on camera, Luxon’s personality doesn’t resonate with enough strength to be considered a strong asset for National."

Gee, I can't understand why young folks feel feel that there is no point to voting. After seeing what happens to young people in the political process in NZ. I guess they feel a bit marginalised by old entitled white men bloviating about shite all day while the economy bumps along the bottom.

$96 a week to wreck your body, career, sleep, to raise kids who will be little servants to 4 billionaires who want to infect them AI psychosis in a dying planet with increasing severe weather events and dwindling drinking water and disrupted food supplies and no birds. LESH GO LETS DO IT!

Winston Peters wants to pay people up to $45k, tax free, to have three kids. It’s a policy with a very nativist bent that will naturally draw comparisons to the “great replacement theory” conspiracy. www.thepost.co.nz/politics/361...

Whenever Christopher Luxon talks about New Zealand, he makes it very clear that he fucking hates us and everything we are. Voting for that is an exercise in self loathing.

“The kick-arse business he ‘built’ ‘like an adult’ exists because the state bailed it out, one of the largest corporate rescues in this country’s history.” So many quotable lines in this analysis of a Prime Minister’s dismissive address to a room full of people paying for his breakfast… #nzpol

Lovely work @andrewdickson13.bsky.social... andrewdicksonnz.substack.com/p/luxons-wea...

So many sneering elitist journalists with snarky posts over the past months that the Reflecting Pool story was trivial. It was so trivial that the DC US Attny presented false evidence to a grand jury to indict an innocent man to please the President while they both lied about it.
