The Return of the King. Internalizing Aragorn’s “I give hope to men, but keep none for myself” kept me in some religious spaces as a somber reformer, to my agony, for far too long. Recovering from that has taught me a lot, and helped me better identify harmful religious mantras.

It's OK to hold multiple things with Newsom. What he's doing w/ redistricting is really important. He's using the power he has in a blue state to try & push back fascism. He's also shitty (see tearing down homeless encampments with his own hands) & shouldn't have a national future in the party.
