What amazes me about this clip is just how vapid his hatred is. People doing something fun that he doesn't like or understand who briefly get in his way....makes him admit homicidal desires. As I rider it's hard to square that so many people feel this kind of hostility over such trivial shit.
Republican candidate Brandon Herrera: “I fucking hate cyclists. Jesus fucking Christ! ….I had fucking fantasies of running them all over and, you know, maybe one of these days I will. …I have thought about ways that I could get away with it.”
Full update from our team. We STILL do not have admin access to the account.
Update: without explanation, and after being suspended for more than an hour during peak mobilization time, Zuckerberg's Instagram restored the No Kings account but we still lack admin access. More to come. Rest assured we will not stop organizing against this regime and its collaborators.
Maybe just putting in a regular tap would have saved state-owned South Western Railway from having to sponsor the water dispenser in its own station. Just a thought.
And the train station charging for tap water is how I know I'm fully home
Active travel fans will enjoy the 'driving responsibly during a car chase' sequence in the new Shaun the Sheep film.
I wanted to find out whether anyone is actually making money from AI* and this came up 👀 *Yes. Nvidia is making money. Nvidia and literally nobody else.
Is AI Profitable Yet?

Israeli lawmakers have promoted visits to an ancient reservoir in the West Bank that was refilled this summer with water diverted from Palestinian-owned farms.

Ran my first sub-20 5k this morning, after lots of hard work and a couple of failed attempts. Apologies to anyone who has to talk to me for the next month, because I'm not going to shut up about it.
Very popular in the family WhatsApp chat right now: this trailer for MobLand in which Pierce Brosnan yells our surname and then suggests people google it if they've not heard of it. youtu.be/VvYl1a1Px5Y?...

My new update to this rule is using @pangram.com to confirm whether the text is AI-generated... It's usually obvious, but it's always good to check they're not just a really bad copywriter with really good spelling.

My very boring 2026 resolution is to report all cold marketing emails as spam if they don't have an unsubscribe link. None of this "just shoot me a reply if you want me to stop emailing you" nonsense. Life is too short.
"Who gets top billing in the new Brad Pitt film?" "The dog stars?" "No, 'Heart of the Beast'." @empiremagazine.bsky.social
Interesting stuff. So there *are* different levels of urgency but they all look and sound the same to the user. The only one that's different is level 1 because opting out is not possible. Quite horrifying to think about when that might be called for.
There are a few wikipedia pages, with the EU one actually referring to a standard and describing a hierarchy of alert levels etc. It refers to an ETSI (?) standard that also covers the UK. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EU-Alert
I wasn't a fan of this evening's Scarecrows' Wedding 4DX Bedtime Story Experience, to be honest
Always nice to see the classic World Cup copywriting clichés come back around. "Show X the red card" "Kick Y into touch" "Give Z a hydration break"
It's been a joy to work with Tameside Council to document this brilliant school street scheme in Mossley. The important messages for these projects are always the ones shared by the children we speak to. Great to see the cross-party political support for these schemes, too!
It's why they're likely quietly supportive of the under 16 ban. It's the least disruptive option to their existing business. It doesn't require addressing the algorithmic feeds/amplification/rage baiting that differentiates modern social media (2026 Facebook/Twitter vs 2006 Facebook/MySpace etc).
The solution to this was kind of staring me in the face...why am I still bothering to use Google Search if it's no longer a good product? Giving @ecosiasearch.bsky.social a go. So far I've been able to get a definition for a word without tearing my hair out, so that's promising.
The other day I was trying to get Google to define a word, which is something I've used Google for for about 20 years. Instead I got an AI summary that didn't include a definition. I asked the AI how to get a definition like before, and it gave me a "solution" that didn't work. #enshittification
We need to encourage dudes to buy cargo bikes if they're having a midlife crisis.
Incredible score for the UK here. There is something to work with if anyone feels like harnessing it.
We're not just terrified of foreigners, we're suspicious of *each other.* A nation of islands surrounded by sharks.
The @b3ta.com image challenge this week is to change one letter in the name of a famous work of art. I spent way too long changing Edward Hopper's Nighthawks into Fighthawks.
It's so good!!! It seems that nobody I know is watching it, and I don't get why. It's easily up there with the best British sketch shows, even though most of them are only 6x30 mins per series...
SNL UK was good yet again — the Louis Theroux sketch worked great, and the Mr Blobby horror movie is a fun idea
Good luck scanning that QR code from 100 metres away...
Where can I get one of these “Keep back 343 feet” stickers
