I’m glad to see more and more people are waking up to this, because it’s unfortunately extremely successful as a tactic.
This is the abuser’s playbook. Present a bunch of times your victim appeared “happy” and “normal” as evidence you couldn’t be abusive, even though it does nothing to disprove the claims and is in fact the textbook response to abuse, especially when a child is involved.
