I just saw a meme that said “get in losers, we’re reclaiming the emdash”. People. PEOPLE. Where are your STANDARDS? It CLEARLY should be “get in, losers — we’re reclaiming the em dash.”

Just going to say here, I think I've said this before, a 'historically accurate' version of the Odyssey is not possible because the Odyssey does not take place in a historical setting - it takes place in a fantastical pastiche of four centuries, mixed in with gods and monsters.

JUST IN: Elon Musk says Grok will make a "full-length movie" of The Odyssey that is "historically accurate" by the end of this year.

I absolutely agree with this, although I’d add Rises is pretty genuine Batman too, it’s just honing in on some of the flaws of the narrative. Hence the ending just being a completely sober, “realistic” “some days you just can’t get rid of a bomb”

Furious that Chris Nolan would disregard historical accuracy in adapting The Odyssey by making a "movie" with "cameras" instead of memorizing the entire story and then going on a nationwide tour to sing it to us while tripping on ergotized barley

Not lost on me that the high profile "they were right, and i fucked up" apologies have come from women (goldberg, klein) and not from the podbros who are arguably more responsible for this bugfuck mess than anyone else other than the candidate himself.

the provinces decline to offer tribute, the armies return in defeat, the temple of the arts has closed its doors, and the name of the Emperor is scoured from the palaces by his own magistrates. now the sun and storms turn against him. the Mandate is lost.

Confident in my ability to minister to the laity, I take the church. I smile at my opponent; Leo does not return the gesture. He'd be more handsome if he did, I think. He serves. The excommunication passes cleanly through my soul, condemning me to eternal hellfire instantly.
