Key thing to realize about being the new person is that sometimes people will teach you things because you need to learn, and sometimes they'll teach you things (you already know) because they're learning how to teach, and that's fine

Having issues with Codex saying “You’ve reached your codex usage limits for code reviews” wrongly and this is exactly the problem with AI support - I went through the chat box once, got a human finally who said I had to go back through the chat box. Then the chat box closes itself as duplicate.
Is anyone using Claude/Codex in chrome? If so, what’re you using it for?
Are the app stores still anti-web view? For example if I want to have a MAUI app using a WebView pointed at my web application but with limited functionality.
From the .NET blog... In case you missed it earlier... .NET 11 Preview 3 is now available! https://devblogs.microsoft.com/dotnet/dotnet-11-preview-3/ #dotnet #NETMAUI #ASPNETCore #csharp #EntityFramework #NET11 #Featured

Insurance companies sending out “your year in review” brochures is some dystopian shit
"Gartner predicts that by next year, half of the companies that fired workers for AI are going to hire them back. Also, 9 months ago, Microsoft…proclaimed that 30% of their code was written by AI, and since then, we've seen some of the worst software issues at the company in its history." 1/2
I’ve got a feeling a lot of the latter half of 2020’s and early 2030’s is going to be AI cleanup, whether by AI-assisted tools or human intervention. It’ll be the Great Unsloppening.
“1 family. 2 news networks. And a president who treats mergers like loyalty tests with no regard for the public.”
Talking about whether AI can replace software developers is the same as talking about whether AI can replace artists, salesmen, or otherwise. There is no replacement for human expression. There is no replacement for human connection.
Going to be a little sad seeing her in my yearly rewatches of Home Alone.

Volunteering at Pinewood Derby for my Girl Scout troop + service unit in Ankeny today - and of course I’m still on the computer 😛. It’s incredible what a few volunteers and some elbow grease can pull off. Thanks to everyone who showed up early, hauled tracks, and made it a great day for the kids. 🙌
Now the AI slop is disrupting retail gaming - or really anyone who needs a computer. www.eurogamer.net/amd-and-nvid...

A while ago, I wrote about how to automatically deploy a passwordless Azure SQL database server using Bicep, EF Core migrations, and Azure Pipelines. Hot off the press, here’s a similar post for Postgres - using Bicep, EF Core migrations, and GitHub Actions! www.bensampica.com/post/postgre...

It's rare that I get to reflect back on my entire tech career and my philosophy towards work and life, but this interview captures it perfectly. One of the few recordings of myself I've watched end to end. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdUb...
