I’d sum it up in two sentences. Virtually nobody will vote against you for being a trans ally who would otherwise have voted for you. There are hundreds of thousands at least who will vote against you if you are transphobic who might otherwise have voted for you.

The "median" voter of James Carville is a myth. Adopting the genocidal policies of Republicans doesn't get Republicans to vote for you, it makes Democrats stay home and bunker up, or flee the country if they can afford it.

This may be true of others but I actually got express permission from the trans community to keep NYT games and recipes. I also have a news subscription, which is arguably worse, so I had to specifically send in a written request. Took 30 days but I got approved.

My only clarity here is 'I'm clearly not buying anything from people who use genAI'. Plenty of folks in the community are more than happy to appear in stuff like yours, and post images just for fun. GenAI disrespects artists and steals their work. This isn't an excuse, it's begging to be avoided.

I really hate the “I don’t owe anyone anything” mentality because we actually owe each other and this planet a lot.
