I think it's good and cool, actually, that Anders Folk is running to be the guy in charge of prosecuting ICE agents while taking money from the lawyer defending ICE agents.

Published version of this article on the Minneapolis 2040 plan on house prices now out: headline result "15%−23% reduction in mid‐tier house price growth" compared to the counterfactual of "experiencing the same house price growth as similar cities (not falls) onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...

Effects of the Minneapolis 2040 Plan on House Prices

The Minneapolis 2040 Plan, which came into effect in January 2020, introduced sweeping reforms to housing regulations. One of the most significant aspects of the Plan is the relaxation of zoning regu...

Some #carryshitolympics from yesterday as I loaded out of the Powderhorn Art Fair. Pulling an industrial embroidery machine, stock, tent, and display stuff on a 5' long Bikes at Work trailer, about 400lbs. Felt like the smuggest bitch biking by dozens of cars lined up and idling waiting to load out

I might have found the most inaccessible bike racks in Minneapolis, across the street from Wedge co-op on Lyndale, in the entry to the parking garage next to the "Walgreens"/urban tails/clown glass. I had to lift my bike nearly two feet. No other parking nearby on this side of the block either.

Abby and Riley are at #GenCon2026 in Indianapolis where we've just (improbably!) been awarded the Diana Jones Award for Excellence in Gaming. We are overwhelmed and extremely grateful for receiving this high honor. Thank you to all!! ❤️

This is the worst part about living in my part of North Minneapolis. It's terrible. We have no idea when it's going to happen, and it feels like at least 1/3 of the time anybody has to go further south of that crossing to go to the library or whatever, they're stuck for 15-30min.

This is mind boggling. The train delays in Camden are just bad. If this was any other part of Minneapolis this wouldnt have lasted like this for decades. www.minnpost.com/metro/2026/0...

When Minneapolis logged data at the crossing for one year between Sept. 1, 2023 and Aug. 31, 2024, they found 559 instances in which the crossing was blocked for more than 15 minutes, 52 times that it was blocked for more than half an hour and 10 instances in which the crossing was blocked by a train for more than an hour. An extrapolation of 10 days of data at the Humboldt Avenue crossing estimated 1,275 delays of more than 15 minutes or longer

CW: Weight I've been on a GLP-1 for a bit now and my goals weren't weight-direct but other health concerns. Health issues are gone, old clothes fit again, BP/RHR are down, and I have never felt better overall. Life-extending & changing in so many aspects. Thank you science. Last photo is mid '22
