R.I.P. the great Sam Neill, who I was such a fan of that I ventured out to my first film festival, the 1995 New York Film Festival, to see his NZ cinema doco A CINEMA OF UNEASE, which remains superb. Such a shame he never directed again. A great talent and an even greater loss to cinema.

Use web form. 30 mins later TW call, say they've referred it back to WCC cos they don't deal with sumps. Half hr later WCC say they referred back to TW. Yesterday drain is still blocked 🤔

This #nziff programme is, yet again, infuriating. Such a short run. So few screenings. Limited options for audiences to discover what are indeed some interesting films. Surely as this is the second year they’ve demonstrated this failure it’s a problem up top or structurally? What a shame.
