The identical psy-ops MAGA created by saying Trump won w a mandate. Same playbook, different cult. Look, everyone wants free or enhanced benefits. We just want u not to be gaslighting, antisemitic, misogynistic, homophobic, racist jagoffs & remember Dems aren't the enemy. DSA seems to forget that.
Just saw someone describe el Sayed's primary win as "seismic." Can someone explain to me how winning with a margin of less than a point is "seismic?" Does the meaning of words matter anymore? (Pic of Secretariat in the 1973 Belmont Stakes to illustrate what a seismic victory really looks like.)

Grandstanding grifters gonna grift in the grandstands.
Ok it’s pretty funny that she managed to not only lose but get absolutely blown out and then became the only notable primary loser from last night to refuse to support the winner

Important for all Democrats to unite around the simple truth that it it’s important for Abdul El-Sayed to win his election to help make Chuck Schumer the most powerful Democrat in the country
Sometimes, I enjoy having been right. Stevens' concession literally speaks about El Sayed's public health record, as it should.
With Platner it was multiway-ish - Mills didn't really want it, so pushing out third options had a purpose. It isn't now - Stevens is going to fight as hard as possible, and then after the vote everyone is going to discover how great El Sayed's public health record/Stevens' auto bailout record was.
This is especially funny because, as far as I understand it, Slotkin and Stevens both hate each other’s guts.
…We need to win this Senate seat, because Elissa Slotkin deserves a partner like Abdul in the U.S. Senate.”
Why am I not surprised that worthless bigoted trash like this most commonly interacts with accounts like @thegodshow.com and @mrsbettybowers.bsky.social. I’d love someone to tell me how this gutter bigotry isn’t actually antisemitic. Go on, let’s hear it.
Jews are not the reason that your life is miserable and empty, @citizenape.bsky.social. Jews are not the reason for your crushing mediocrity. Jews are not the reason that everyone you know will celebrate when you die. Your life sucks because you’re a worthless Nazi parasite, not because of the Jews
Maybe it’s about time that we did.
As the Michigan primaries unfold, Charlotte Alter, who interviewed Abdul El-Sayed in 2018, provides an unsettling picture of him, saying he can't work with others, doesn't care if Dems lose, thinks Obama's passing the ACA was bad, and sees himself as a stern surgeon inflicting pain on Americans. 1/

Completely agree with that, but that doesn’t make the leaks less stupid! What did they have to gain from it??
Whatever the final margin, the funny thing is that AES has absolutely been acting like he believed the polls that were public… and so has Stevens! Really the only indicator I see that anyone didn’t is the Whitmer endorsement, which looks much better now even with an AES win
This was an absolutely awful result. Because two non-leftist candidates, Bridget Brink & Matt Maasdem, refused to coordinate and have one of them get out of the race, leftist William Lawrence, who has made white supremacist statements against Black Americans, won the nomination in a swing district.
"We're not antisemitic! We just want Jews to be a defenseless minority and recognize that self-determination is for worthy peoples, not them". Thanks so much!
Also: Morris Katz was wailing literally last week that she only lost her seat because of AIPAC!!!! and AES is showing tonight how absolutely horseshit that narrative is. She lost for being an awful member of congress and a fringe weirdo: good riddance
Cori Bush getting annihilated is outstanding for pretty much everyone who cares about effective representation and fewer cranks in congress Also bodes well for the prospect of ejecting other cranks like Chevalier in the next cycle or two IMO
It's kind of funny how so many people are trying to insist that *liberals* were the one pushing the notion of AES winning by 12 points
When Grant was dying of throat cancer his finances were in ruins and there was no Presidential pension so dying he wrote his memoirs to secure his family after he died, he just beat the deadline finishing them July 18th 1885 and dying the 23rd they were a huge best selling success
In this case, I think the real lesson is if any campaign floods the zone with their polls, they're full of shit
Speaking of which, the margin is now down to less than 26,000 votes, or less than 2%. Regardless of who ultimately wins, it's safe to say that the entire polling industry looks like a bunch of jackasses right now.
Just woke up to learn that it’s still too close to call! NBC called it for Abdul but no one else has yet. Difference as of now: 19,493 or 1.28%.
honestly, the fact that we have made it through the atomic age *without* another use of nuclear weapons since 1945 is a miracle we don't fully appreciate
Today is the day the story There Will Come Soft Rain is set. An amazing and heartbreaking work of fiction for our modern age. Read it here:
you know i'm starting to think she just hates holidays for their own sake, not even as a woke thing
WE NEED 4 SEATS TO FLIP THE SENATE. JOSH TUREK SHOULD BE ONE OF THEM. I was researching Josh and came across one of his signature issues: Right to Repair. I had no idea how important this was. Most people in big cities probably don’t either. 🧵
And as I type this, Abdul gets up and says he overperformed expectations. No. He didn’t. He claimed he was going to win by double digits. Lol. Katz always has to steer candidates directly into the opposite of what they are
Campaigns 101: setting expectations sky-high is how you turn a win into a loss. Even if he wins this is still embarrassing for him because his lil push polls had him 12points up
