When the House Hippo first appeared on Canadian televisions, it seemed that everyone wanted one to appear in their homes. This commercial became a part of the Canadian cultural landscape and even today, the House Hippo is beloved by Canadians. 🧵 1/10

A blurry photo of a small, dark hippopotamus-like creature grazing on a dimly lit indoor floor near green buckets labeled "JAM," with a spotlight casting shadows.

Timeline cleanse: Raccoon edition. After all this they walked off happily together. I was surprised they kept it all so quiet, perhaps they like to get things sorted without drawing attention to themselves. #mammals

Blue Bottle Games, as a policy, does not use generative AI. It's something we've discussed as a team, weighing the pros and cons, and ultimately, we decided it was not for us. Recently, while chatting with a colleague, she mentioned it was useful hearing our reasoning. So: Sharing time! 1/12

Photographer challenge: post a photo you're extremely proud of. I'm kind of a sucker for sunrise photography, and I was still pretty new to photography when I went on the trip I took this shot. There are some things I wish technically I could have done a bit better, but I'm still pretty darn happy.

A line of pelicans standing on a beach, framed symmetrically against the water and sky. The light of dawn gives a soft glow that reflects against the water, and in the distance, small structures and a rain squall can be seen against the horizon.

Photographer challenge: post a photo you're extremely proud of. Playing with light and shadow has always been an interest of mine in photography, but this was the first time I feel like I stumbled into actually feeling like a shot I took gave light tangible volume and presence.

Photograph looking down a road that is rising uphill. The sun is setting aligned with the road, pouring orange light down toward the camera. A few semi trucks and a car are driving. The shadows cast and the weather suggest a luminous fog around them.

Photographer challenge: post a photo you're extremely proud of. It's silly, and probably something only I like, but I just love the textures and dynamic range I got on this. Was like...4:45AM with juuust barely enough light.

For anyone in the Everett/Snohomish/North Seattle area, I'd love to take your portrait! Pets also welcome~ No cost beyond the ability to post it on my site, just need to build up my portfolio :3
